Ever since I was like a preteen I was trying to learn how to slow down music, the right way. In my late teenage years, I finally got it right and now I'm taking over the world with it, lol (Seriously though).
I'm always on my grind.
I love meeting fans when I'm not working.
A lot of people may not know, but I am very hands on when it comes to promoting. I actually get out in the streets myself, pass out CD's, flyers and hang up posters. Every year that goes by I get more and more popular, and it becomes harder and harder for me to street promote.
I love meeting my fans, it's the best feeling in the world knowing that all the stuff I create people love and care about it. I love when people want to take pictures and ask for autographs, it's so surreal and it's an adrenaline rush for me.
At times I need to focus and get the posters up and flyers out but I can't always get the job done because my fans want to see me and talk so I end up not completing the task at hand. I'm not complaining at all, because that's what I do what I do for, but a lot of the times I have to move in silence because that's the only way I don't become distracted.
I always knew I was going to make it, I just never thought I'd achieve the things I needed to get there.
I wrote "Hustlin Never Goin' out of Style" almost 3 years ago. I posted it so many times trying to get 100's of thousands of views. I tried it like 5 times and it finally happened. Although I knew I was going to get 1,000,000 Million views this go around, I did not it wasn't going to stop. Now at almost 24,000,000 views meaning 24 MILLION VIEWS!!! I believe now.
I did this photo shoot this past Christmas in 2017. I was taken back by my own growth, it's crazy right? I know that looks aren't everything but sometimes I see how far I have come and I can't even believe it. I feel mature sometimes, I look mature. I once said in my song "Sometimes I feel like I'm a kid, but I do grown people shit, like pay my own bills straight up gettin' how I live." - When I grow up. And that was like 10 years ago and I still feel like that sometimes. Continuing to grow is so important to me and to God obviously because he made things to start out small and grow and that's everything and every animal on this planet. I am a product of my environment.
Sota Black Interview w/Dj Ezzy on 106 Live Radio Atlanta, GA
This is my home girl in the beginning of the video, twerking.
She is the one always recording me and talking on camera. Most of the time you all don't get to see her unless you know her in real life or follow my @Officialsotablack Instagram account
. I've known her since I was like 10 years old or something (Not that time matters in friendship). Lately she has been too busy to record me and I have been a lil busy myself to stop by her place.
It can be so hard to go to the get togethers sometimes but once I'm there with my family it's so much fun and all smiles, until they start fighting, lol.
